Crayon Shin-chan is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yoshito Usui. It follows the adventures of the five-year-old Shinnosuke “Shin” Nohara and his parents, baby sister, dog, neighbors, and friends and is set in Kasukabe, Saitama Prefecture. An anime adaptation of the series began airing on TV Asahi in 1992, and continues to this day. On April 12, 1996 The show aired on Fridays instead of Mondays. On April 20, 2002. The show aired on Fridays instead of Saturdays. The show has now been dubbed in English, Spanish, French, Dutch, German, Portuguese, Chinese, Polish, Italian, Korean, Hindi, Hebrew, Tamil, Tagalog, Indonesian, Malay, Thai and Vietnamese.
